Asian Contemporary Art Week, or ACAW

The best time to begin the celebration of Asian art is during the renowned Asian Contemporary Art Week, or ACAW. This is a great opportunity to experience the fullness of the leading New York city art galleries, museums and more in a citywide happening including exhibitions, receptions, lectures and of course wonderful performances. The focus of this incredible week is to introduce the full spectrum of art work created by Asian modern artists working internationally at in their home countries.

ACAW is scheduled to take place from March 24 until March 31 in the year 2011. In order to create the broadest possible exposure the ACAW will team up with curators, critics, galleries, museums and other organizations which promote and display today’s artistic creations. There will be a large number of evening events for participants to choose from. There will also be symposium of the best speakers in the area of Asian art, who will share their knowledge of art communities and artists who ply their trade at home and abroad.
